OVERVIEW: REMINGTON 7 1/2 PRIMERS| REMINGTON SMALL RIFLE
As a global leader in both the guns and ammunition industries, Remington understands how critical it is to have the best quality ammunition available in order for your rifle to function to its maximum potential whether hunting or shooting. This begins with using the highest-quality components available in the ammunition manufacturing process. REMINGTON 7 1/2 PRIMERS are the exact primers that Remington uses to manufacture their own ammunition, and they perform to the highest of industry expectations.
You must start with the best if you want the most performance out of your handgun, which is why reloaders pick Remington components for their loads. Within every Remington 7 1/2 Primers is a group of subcomponents assembled to exceptionally tight tolerances. Primer cup dimensions are controlled to .0001″, and the priming mix is specially formulated for consistent ignition with a wide variety of powder types. Remington Primers are tested for reliability from -20 degrees F to +150 degrees F. Remington 7 1 2 Primers’ unique tripod anvil design creates a larger strike area with maximum sensitivity, even with off-center firing pin strikes.

I use Remington Primers for all my rifle loading
I have been a competitive shooter for many years. All my rifle ammo have been loaded with Remington primers. It does not matter long range or short Remington primers are always accurate and consistently every time.

Always go BANG! Consistent results.
I get consistent results with these primers in .223 loads. I also use Federal 205’s & CCI 400’s, but I find a tiny bit less consistency with CCI 450 (says the chrono.)

When I bought my first AR180 in 1973, the owner’s manual stipulated Remington 7 1/5 primers to prevent the firing pin from piercing the primer cup and sucking that punched out piece into the action. I didn’t listen and found that no other commercial primers would work in my AR180. The Remingtons worked flawlessly. Apparently, they are made to Mil Spec standards, like the CCI 41’s. I have used Remington 7 1/5 primers since late 1973, and they work flawlessly in AR180’s, all AR15 type platforms, Mini 14’s, Mossberg Patrol rifle and my HK93.

Great for 223/5.56
When components were hard to find I started using the 7-1/2 primers. I had used CCI BR4’s as I already had some. I saw an immediate difference with the Remington Primers and have used them ever since in my 223 loads, my 22 Hornet, and my 300 Blackout. What I have found is that they work best in my 223 AR rifles. These are a hotter primer good for ball powders. This is probably why I saw a difference from the cooler BR4 primers. I have found cooler primers work better in my 300 Blackout and for stick powders in my 22 Hornet. I don’t mean a world of difference, I mean 1/4 to 1/2 MOA difference. I bought some more recently to stock up as now I am having a hard time finding Remington primers. I have had great success with their primers and not one has failed to light.
